Your bicycling pace should be kept between 80 and 110 rpm. This will keep the strain off of your knees and allow you to ride further before you reach fatigue. To calculate your pace, multiply the times you right knees pops up in a minute. This is the rpm range that you need to strive for.

Dedicate a little bit of time each day to exercise. Little choices, like taking the stairs up to your office instead of the elevator, can snowball into big fitness improvements.

Maintain a record of everything you do each day. Everything should be recorded, including food, drink, and exercise. As well, report on the context regarding your day, like the weather outside. You can then change anything to your daily routine that can help you get fit. If you were unable to exercise for a day or two, then write down the reason why.
